About Remington

This is a required first step of the adoption process. His adoption fee is $175. Meet Remington, Remy for short. This handsome boy is a 1.5-year-old hound/lab mix who totally looks like a hound in one picture and a lab in the next (see comments below). Remy is kind of perfect and awesome and totally easy to love. He is friendly, silly, happy, playful, and super loving. Remy used to live with other dogs and seems to still want to be friends with any canine willing to be his friend. Recently he has been an only dog and has been just as content as long as he gets plenty of play time and play dates. Remy also gets along well with cats. He wants to play with them, but is also respectful if they aren't feeling it. Our 60-pound love bug is quite the hugger, even if it isn't super appropriate. Interestingly he loves kids and doesn't hug the little ones who could topple over from his size. He always has an upbeat personality. Remy likes to go for walks, but does need an Easy Walk harness to keep him from tugging as much. He rides well in the car and alternates between looking out the window and curling up in a ball to take a nap. Remy loves toys, but most don't last super long. He shreds things that belong to him unless they are extra durable. Remy is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. He is also solidly housebroken and crate trained. We want to add that Remy has always had a fenced yard and always does his business in the yard and not on walks. We aren't sure if he would be so perfectly housebroken if he had to rely on leashed walks for potty breaks.
