About Makoto

My perfect day would be to play with my favorite adults, go for a walk, and cuddle up with a favorite toy for a nap. Makoto is very intelligent, obedient with commands, pampers his toys, and once bonded, likes hugs, cuddles and adventures with his people! He is great with baths and has no toy or food aggression. VERY affectionate and submissive to his family. Once you are his friend you are his friend for life. Although he likes certain dogs, he should be an only dog to his family. Makoto loves to give kisses, rolls over for belly rubs, and enjoys playing fetch with a ball. He has the great Akita traits of loyalty and protecting his family. He is adventurous and loves exploring with his owner. He would love hiking, and exploring the outdoors on leash. Definitely NO kids, as he is reactive with children. To adopt him, he needs you to visit and interact a few times so that he learns to trust you since new people are strangers to him. Many people have wanted to adopt him because of his classic Akita appearance; he looks like the cover of a book on Akitas!
