*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS!* Wanted: a fun-loving, adventure-seeking family ready for a lifetime of exploration! Hi there! My name is Timberline and I am an 8-month-old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix who is looking for a forever family through Fetching Tails Foundation. I am a spirited, curious, and intelligent young fellow. I am about 50 pounds and have luxuriously soft toffee-colored fur; I am also dressed to party as I have a white patch on my chest so it looks like I am wearing a tuxedo and white cuffs on my paws! If I could humble brag for a moment, I am a very handsome boy and my personality perfectly matches my giant, sparkling smile! My friends at Fetching Tails Foundation saved me from Chicago Animal Care & Control, where I was brought by my previous owners because I was very sick. I was so sick with parvovirus, in fact, that I was moments from being euthanized. But thankfully my Fetching friends rushed to my rescue as soon as they heard about me and after spending a few days at the animal hospital receiving fluids and medicine, I am now fully recovered and a healthy, happy boy who loves life in my foster home! I live with two other playful dogs and two kitties and I get along great with all of them! I have started to learn boundaries thanks to them (like when my doggie foster brother Rizzo is tired of playing, I know to give him space and find somewhere else to play!) and l love to play zoomies with my doggie sister Gracie! I love to play zoomies so much, in fact, that I would love to have a fenced yard at my forever home so I can run around to my heart's content! Since I am young I have a lot of playful energy to work with, but once I have tired myself out nothing makes me happier than some serious cuddle time on the couch! I LOVE to snuggle, and lay right next you with my head on your lap. I am very friendly and get along well with everyone I meet! What can I say? I just love life so much and I even enjoy to go on fun adventures with my foster family, like swimming in the lake by their house; if you are an active family I think we could get along very well! For a young guy I have pretty great house manners, too! I am potty trained and crate trained; I like to keep some toys in my crate and treat it like my own personal man cave. My foster parents have been working with me on commands including sit and wait. Since I am young, my excitement can get the best of me sometimes and I like to jump to say hello; I am a quick learner and will understand in no time what is the most polite way to meet new friends. Since I am young, Fetching Tails Foundation will require my adopters to sign me up for training classes to ensure I learn all the tools to be the best version of myself possible. If I am being totally honest, I am SUPER excited by this idea: I love to learn new tricks and commands, and I hear I might get to make new doggie friends in classes! I am a people pleaser, and cannot wait to show you how smart I am. More than anything, I am excited to find a family who is ready for a lifetime of fun, cuddles, and love!
