We rescued Murphy 6 months ago. He is approximately 1 y/o. When we found him, we noticed the limp. We took him to specialist, one of his hip joint was displaced. It was too late to undo it. We needed to wait until he gets closer to 1 y/o for the proper surgery. Options were to amputate the leg or replace the hip which was super costly. We felt so bad for this poor dog, we decided to do the hip replacement surgery. It's been more than couple months since the surgery was done. He is recovering very well. Right now we are keeping all his activities very limited. He will be able to run and play again, you won't even be able to tell the difference. He just needs time. He will need annual follow ups by the specialist just to make sure that plates are still nice and tight. We would like to send him home where he will be the only pet of the house due to his hip issue. Accident happens more often when they are around other animals. We prefer people who is around most of the time to keep each others a company. He is walking okay on leash. We are doing short walks for now. We did everything that we can for this sweet boy. He is very friendly. Loves to be around people. He deserves the best. Please contact for more information.
