Black and white beauty, Sam, is 18 pounds of cuteness who thrives on cuddling with his foster family and being near them at all times. He also loves the children in his foster home, playing with his many toys, running about outside chasing squirrels, and going for rides in the car. Although wary of new people (especially men)%BD%BD%BD%A0 this onetime stray is learning to warm to them, and being both food and treat motivated, is crate and leash trained, and is now at work on his 'sit' command and his housetraining. Still a bit of an escape artist, this fleet footed pup requires a patient and loving home with a large, fenced yard to continue his training and complete his doggy education while keeping him mentally stimulated and physically satisfied. With some Schnauzer personality traits, Sam can be protective of his family around strangers, and will do best in a home without a lot of visitors. He is NOT a fan of other dogs, so he will thrive best in a home where he is the only 4 legged family member!%BD%BD%BD%A0
