About Toby

Meet Toby! He's a brilliant, young pupper that URGENTLY needs a home. He was just returned by a family to the Camarillo Shelter because he needs to be a one person dog (he LOOOOVES his person and wants to protect them). He does not do well in a kennel. Please come save him. About Toby: He is basically a genius - Do you want a highly trainable dog? Look no further than this brilliant boy. He loves to learn and it doesn't hurt that all he wants in this world is to please you. Trainable as heck. He would make the BEST hiking buddy - Toby loves the outdoors and all that comes with it. The air, the smells, the new friends, the car rides and exercise - he LIVES for it (and you). There is no dog more affectionate - Remember when I said he wants one person to love with his whole heart? Not an exaggeration. He will love you so much you may have to train him out of his natural velcro state. He made my heart explode with fuzzies every day at home. He is handsome as all heck - Superficial? Maybe. But who doesn't like being complimented everywhere they go? Cuz that's what's gonna happen when you take Toby anywhere. People and dogs alike flock to him for his looks and charisma. If you meet Toby at the shelter, chances are he will act like a spaz. Don't let that scare you away. He is so smart and young that a kennel is basically torture for his brain and body and being released into a playpen feels like sweet, sweet freedom. He is not difficult in the right home environment. Toby will thrive in a one person home where he can be your everything. He loves meeting, playing and cuddling with all people and dogs but has unfortunately come to the shelter because he gets confused in larger family environments. He has every quality people hope for in a dog but has had rough luck finding his forever home. His previous foster mom is so obsessed with him and distraught that he's back in a kennel she will accept phone calls, texts or e-mails day or night to talk to you about this handsome love bug.
