About Ash

Ash is a very independent guy. He does not find much use for humans other than basic food, water and shelter. He doesn't like hanging out with other dogs. We lovingly call Ash the grumpy ole man. He is indeed grouchy and very moody. Though he has never bitten any of us, he sure does try. Ash came to us with bad knees and had to have surgery. We thought that once he was out of pain, it might help his temperament. But Ash remains our 'grumpy ole man' Here at the rescue, he does his own thing. He naps a lot and walks around. He enjoys being outside and we have to force him in, even when it's cold. Ash is looking for a home that doesn't want a lap dog or constant attention from their dog. He is hoping for an owner that will understand his independence and not take it personally. Ash is an 8 year old Shih Tzu. He weighs about 11.5 pounds. His adoption fee is $180.00.
