About Rocky

Hi. My name is Rocky! I know I don't look anything like the guy in the movie and to be truthful, I'm a bit relieved! I may not be as big as what you expected, but please don't count me out! My foster mom says I'm a svelte version of a rottie, whatever that means. Human funny words. I'm a lean 55 pounds with a big heart and I have a boy-ish face with the sweetest eyes, if I do say so myself. My foster mom says they named me Rocky because I fought hard to survive and I can hold my own when I play with larger dogs. And, just so you know, I'm calm, curious, courageous, smart, and a great companion! I'm just the right size for someone that is special just like me! Before landing with my foster mom and my crew, I was in a very scary place called a shelter and humans kept passing by me. Luckily, these awesome humans picked me up, and took me to a land called Texas. My pack made me feel welcomed and they thought it was funny that I would keep my distance from the human initially. See, I survived by being cautious and watching my environment. Turns out my foster mom gave me food, and treats, and toys, and a nice dog bed! An actual bed for me!! She is real proud that I learned to go potty outside in 2 days. She always tells me I am a sweet boy. I keep real still for her when she changes my collar or puts on the leash. I don't mind if she gets close to my food and I am gentle when I take treats. I can even eat off a spoon. I try to be a gentleman at all times! I give her kisses from time to time (can't over do it or she'll never stop asking) and I like to cuddle with her. Besides my step-sister, I have 2 step-brothers. Although I'm not bossy, I do like to start the fun! I chase them and they chase me and we have fun wrestling. I may be the smallest but I win a lot cuz I am fast and nimble! Oh, and don't tell my my foster mom but we also like to chase squirrels. And sometimes, when I feel really silly, I jump up and down like a goat and my human laughs and plays with me too! And guess what??? I figured out the treat toys faster than my pack but I don't bother them when I finish. I know how to mind my own business. My foster mom says because of my sensitivity, I would do best in a calm environment and if children are around, they should be older and patient.
