About Boo

My name is Boo, and I am a handsome, affectionate Bombay/ black DSH mix fella who was born around Valentine's Day 2015. My birth date was perfect timing because I am a loving sweetheart to the 10th degree. Actually, that's not surprising because Bombay mixes are sometimes called Velcro kitties because they are so sociable and like people so much. I have the Bombay mix's soft, sleek, and gleaming coat that is like black patent leather as well as mesmerizing round copper-penny eyes that look right through you and make your heart melt. I have a long, lithe, agile frame despite my deceptively heavy, muscular body. This comes in handy because I love to play and have fun! I absolutely LOVE that toy Da Bird because it makes me feel like a hunter. I like to be up on high places as well as to sit on window sills, where I am quite content to gaze outside! I can be a little shy at first but quickly become very loving and sociable. I will cuddle in your lap, but I like to do it when I want to. I LOVE canned tuna and won't hesitate to talk to you when I would like some tuna! I seem intuitively to know when you are upset, sick, or just need love, and I am happy to oblige by being an attentive, loving furry companion when you need it the most! Originally I was rescued from a shelter by Buster's Friends. I hit the jackpot when I got adopted in December 2016. I had the best home until my new mom and dad figured out what was making their little girl so sick - severe allergies to me. They literally cried when they realized that their high insurance deductible precluded their being able to afford allergy shots for her. Sadly for all of me, I have to be re-homed. I get along great with the other cats and little dogs in my foster home and was great around the little girl in my adoptive home. I would love another kitty around so I can play, but I would easily assimilate into a lot of family situations just like a glove. I know that black kitties are some of the best kitties around, so I know someone will fall in love me. If that person is you, I know that you will never regret having an affectionate chip of onyx cuddling with you while I operate my purr motor that sounds like a perking coffeepot. Please don't be superstitious of black cats! You know, Groucho Marx once said, 'A black cat crossing your path signifies that the animal is going somewhere.' Buster's Friends makes a concerted effort to rescue black cats and kittens from shelters because they are five times more likely to be euthanized than any other color of cat. However, many people who have had a black or Bombay mix cat before end up adopting another one because they seem to have such wonderful personalities and are emotionally stable and well balanced.
