Date into Rescue: 3/23/2009 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release, health of owner. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? None noted. Weight: 16.3 Height: Estimated 11' at the shoulder. Adoption Fee: $299.00 Fence needed? No. What kind of home would be best for me? 'I would do well in a quiet, reserved home.' What is my personality like? 'I am the type of dog that affection needs to be worked for and trust should be earned. I do not need to be cuddled up in someone's lap all of the time and I am perfectly content doing my own thing. I spend most of my days curled up in a comfy blanket and napping. I do not know any basic commands but I do walk well on a leash. Although, I do not care too much for being outside.. I am a lazy boy.' Notes from caregiver- Cash is a laid back lazy guy. He doesn't love going outside and gets pretty snappy with me when I make him. He enjoys being pet but doesn't care for being in my lap or carried around. He seems to do fine with his cottage mates. He doesn't know any basic commands but walks well on a leash. I've been told he will resource guard people after spending longer amounts of time with him. He needs an owner who will respect his personal space. How I act when I first meet new people: 'I do not care for people I do not know very much.' House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
