About MILLIE

Hi - My name is MILLIE. I'm a 6 year old Chinese Crested Mix, and I weigh about 10 lbs.. I was rescued by SAVE A SMALL DOG RESCUE over 3 years ago. For SO many Saturdays and Sundays, I've made the 120 mi. round trip ride to PETCO in Beaumont ... hoping each time that it will finally be the day that my new Mom and/or Dad will come in and want to make me their very own special little fur girl. Lots of people come by, and I try hard to get their attention, but they don't seem to notice me. If people only knew how hard I've worked to become a 'normal' dog, they might be surprised ... or even impressed. You see, I was one of many dogs who were rescued from a huge, horrible hoarding situation. I had no one to ever hold me, tell me that they loved me ... or to teach me how to play with toys or walk on a leash. There were lots of starving, angry big dogs there too who treated me badly. I was SO scared and miserable. My life changed on the day that SASDR took me from that dark, filthy and dangerous place. Everything was nice, but I didn't know how to act. I was afraid of everyone and everything. Ms. Laurie never gives up on her rescues, though, so she and her volunteers spent lots of time loving and teaching me how to trust. I'm now a happy girl who trusts people and enjoys playing with my fur friends. My dream, though, is to have someone WANT to adopt me and love me forever. Won't you PLEASE give me chance to prove how I can be your very best friend?!?!? My Adoption Fee is only $150, and includes Spay, Microchip with Registration, Up-to-Date Vaccines and Teeth Cleaning. If you would prefer to FOSTER me instead of adopting me, though, I'd even be happy with that. I could learn lots more good things from you while waiting for my new family to discover me.
