MAZUKY WILL BE ADOPTED TO AN EXPERIENCED CANE CORSO / GUARDIAN BREED HOME ONLY ABOUT ME: Mazuky is a stunning 5 year old Cane Corso. He was picked up as a stray and waited four long months for his owner to come back for him. When his owner never showed, we were lucky enough to be able to welcome him to the Bullpen family. He is an energetic boy that would enjoy a fairly active family that will take him on neighborhood walks or play ball in the backyard every night before snuggling on the couch. WHAT I NEED IN A HOME: Like most Cane Corsos, Mazuky is wary of strangers, and needs to be introduced to new people and visitors slowly. Once he feels comfortable, though, Mazuky absolutely loves people and attention. He is very fond of women and adjusts well to men after a slower introduction. Although Mazuky loves to be active, he can get overwhelmed by noisy and high-stimulus environments and would prefer a more laid-back and quiet household. An adults-only home would be ideal, but a family with older children may also be a good fit. Mr. M gets along great with large dogs but has not been tested with smaller dogs. Mazuky will chase a cat, so he prefers a feline-free family. Because he is highly intelligent, Mazuky enjoys exploring new things and is always looking for the next great adventure. He's been known to seize any opportunity he can to get out into the world and investigate the surroundings, which occasionally means jumping a fence or sneaking through a door left ajar. Consequently, applicants must have a fence that is higher than 6', or be willing to keep him on a leash whenever he leaves the house. THE DETAILS: Mazuky is house trained, knows how to use a doggy door and is crate trained. His leash and obedience skills are nearly perfect, and he is fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, neutered and just finished heartworm treatment.
