Fila (about 1.5 years old as of Jan 2018) is a spayed female black kitten. Fila and her siblings were born into a colony of feral cats in Round Lake Beach and rescued as young kittens. Unfortunately the kittens fell very ill with a mysterious virus we now believe to be panleukopenia, which most cats including those who go through our trap-neuter-return program are vaccinated against but that can be very dangerous for unvaccinated young kittens. Fila made a full recovery, although the supportive care she received to pull her through stressed her out a bit and may have left her more timid than many kittens who were taken in as young as she was. (Her one flattened ear in photos is how she shows she is feeling nervous, it's a normal ear!) Fila has been raised with other cats, dogs, and kids around and would be good for most homes as long as children are respectful that she is a little more shy. Sonoma is her sister.
