Meet the stunning Waffles, a female Pit Bull Terrier mixed female. Waffles was named after the Waffle House where she scratched out a meager existence, a horrible rusted chain still hanging from her neck, for months. The kind folks at that Waffle House worried about this sweet girl and sought help. Thankfully, she was rescued and her life as a real, normal dog finally started. Waffles had clearly been neglected her whole life and was extremely fearful and withdrawn when she was rescued. Within a week, she started to realize that people can mean good things, and she is making amazing strides in her foster home. Waffles is a loving, sweet soul. For such a gorgeous girl, she is not a diva at all. She is delicate and demure. She is coming out of her shell and shows great affection and a willingness to play with her foster mom and brother (a child). She is very gentle and timid and allows her foster mom to pick her up and handle her with ease. Waffles has been getting along well with her canine siblings (see video: https://youtu.be/5M0WNQnJIhs). Waffles is approximately two years old, weighs 49 lbs, and is current on shots. She was heartworm positive when rescued, but has completed treatment; she will also be spayed and microchipped prior to adoption. Waffles is crate-trained and very obedient. She will reward you with her deep love, endless devotion, and constant companionship. If you feel Waffles is meant to be your new best friend, don't wait to apply!
