About Moe

Dogue de Bordeaux
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Moe is a big, sweet and very handsome 5yo Bordeaux who we've cared for since he was 8wo. As hard as we've tried to include Moe into our new family dynamic, we sadly have been unable to provide him with all of the attention that he's used to and the daily walks that he needs and deserves. Keeping him has affected our childcare options and limited the freedoms that both he and our toddler have living together - we are constantly keeping them seperated. There has not been an incident with the 2 of them but he has given warnings that he understandably has a limit to his patience. So we desperately want to find him another loving home. He is playful, treat and toy motivated, not aggressive about them, will instinctively guard your property and just loves to be in the middle of everything and everyone. When he's had enough, he'll go recharge quietly by himself. He knows basic tricks like: sit, paw, climb, belly and leave it. If new people are comfortable with him and greet him with affection, he'll be their best friend forever! After a few training sessions and after trust has been established, he's ok on a leash but since he's unaltered, we use the avoidance technique since his socialization with other dogs has been very limited. We feel that he would be best off with an owner with no children or with older children (+8yo) and no other cats or dogs. Preferably in a home with some enclosed outdoor space or a good neighborhood for walks. I wish there wasn't a rush, but we sincerely hope that we can connect him with a new forever-home as soon as possible. I know Moe would make such a wonderful addition to your home and if the photo isn't enough, as soon as you meet him- we know you'll fall in love.
