About Sassafras & Boo

Sassafras and her remaining son, Boo are the last of a group of kitties rescued from a garage on the busy Boulevard two years ago. Boo is shy but sweet and likes to hang out where people are in the living room and especially likes sitting on the back of the couch looking down on people when he naps on it. He also likes to greet you at the door by jumping on the back of the couch with his mom and making sort of a bookend of sorts with her so that you can love them both. He is not a lap cat but has started coming into the bedroom and onto the bed in the last couple months. Boo also likes to sit and stare with his mouth open and his tongue hanging out. His mom is pretty much Boo's twin who started out feral but has actually become even more socialized than Boo now and pretty much demands attention/head scratches or you get the paw. She has been diagnosed with kitty heartworms but they don't seem to bother her other than some rare coughing. They both will talk to you once they get comfortable and demand petting. They get along with other cats and surprisingly, dogs as well. They like to look out the window. They will eat most any dry food and sometimes wet food - they are on a combination of Blue Buffalo and Costco/Kirkland brand Maintenance Cat dry food with various wet foods. They are both sweet, loving cats but easily startled and will need a quiet home with love and patience because it may take a while for them to warm up, as it did when they first came to their foster home.
