About Frankie

Adoption Fee: $200
American Bulldog / Saint Bernard
Age: Adult
Sex: Male

Frankie is an approximately 5.5 year old American Bulldog and Saint Bernard mix. He came to us after being adopted out of a shelter by a person who was not able to handle his needs. Frankie, as best we can tell, likely spent the first 2 years or so of his life as a backyard dog and had no contact with other dogs. As a result, Frankie was extremely afraid of the actions of other dogs because he no way to interpret them. Since he is about 90 pounds of dog, that fear made for a potentially hazardous situation. 2 years later with a lot of carefully supervised and progressive dog interaction, Frankie has reached a point where he interacts well with male and female dogs that are calm and non-reactive in temperament especially upon meeting him the first time. Frankie loves people however, and other than the offhand chance of him unintentionally knocking down a small child, we have no reason to believe he has any human restrictions. An ideal home for Frankie, who is of moderate energy level, would be one where he got to go for walks, had the run of the house and yard, and was allowed to curl up with you for quiet time. The most risk free scenario for Frankie would be a home with no other dogs or cats. A carefully supervised meeting with any existing dogs in your home is mandatory, but you should not pass up the opportunity to meet this big, beautiful, gentle boy. Frankie is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked. To meet Frankie, email us at the link below.
