About Ted

MEET TED!! Goofy, silly, playful Ted is a 5 year old, male GSD that we got from the Downey Animal shelter in CA. We aren't sure what happened in his prior life but as a result he is rather shy when he first meets you but does warm up once he feels safe. He is a sweet and gentle young man that has a HUGE playful side. Ted was adopted in February 2017 and has recently been surrendered back to the rescue through no fault of his own. His owner recently retired and felt that Ted did not fit into her life. Ted has been professionally trained in basic obedience both on and off leash and follows commands without fault. He needs a more quiet home without a lot of people coming and going as he can become a bit protective of his space/home. When outside of his domain, Ted is friendly with people. Ted does need further slow and careful exposure to other dogs. Previously when at the rescue, he did play with other dogs but has shown some aggressive attitude towards small dogs. Ted has a goofy and playful personality when he relaxes in his home. He loves belly rubs and to play fetch. He also loves to go on long walks or runs and would be a great partner for an active individual, looking for a companion. Ted is UTD, microchipped, on flea/tick/HW preventative and neutered .
