About Scooby

Scooby was originally an unclaimed stray from Animal Services. He was very frightened and therefore not adoptable. After spending a very long time with us we have come to know him well. His nickname is The Little General. He likes to be in charge and watch what is happening at all times. He also seems to like certain humans and dislike others, particularly men. He was probably abused at some point in his young life. He is funny and charming and likes to be around you without being clingy. His perfect adopter would be willing to give him time to adapt to life in a calm home with no other pets or maybe just one other small dog he could be friends with. This is a very special adoption since he can be nippy with new people or people he is afraid of who try to reach for him. With time and understanding we believe he would make someone a wonderful pet, but it will take patience.
