About Meathead

Meathead is the mascot for Texas Best Choices. He lives in a kennel where all the action is- where people arrive to adopt and everyone wants to greet Meathead. He is a big boy, about 5 years old, with a deep bark, but he wouldn't hurt a flea.... unless it if about food. Meathead lives alone because we "free feed" and he is a bit food aggressive... In a home, you can feed 2 dogs separately and not have an issue. We love Meathead so he can live here as long as he needs to but we want more for him ! Meathead was tied to our gate with a rope several years ago...he looked like he could have been in a fight. There were wounds all over his head and body. He was quite sad looking. He also had some old scars, so he likely had a pretty rough life before TBC. We spoil him, and everyone loves him, but he truly deserves a home and a family of his own. He looks like a thoroughbred when he walks- or should I say prances! He loves to play ball and even though he is not beautiful, he has rugged good looks and the heart of a child. Meathead will be waiting for you, if you have a heart of gold :)
