About Humphrey

Humphrey! 8 years young, 65lbs, very affectionate and social. Loves people and kids, will do best as an only dog but will tolerate other submissive dogs after slow proper introductions. Humphrey is house and crate trained and knows several verbal commands, sit, lay down, come and stop. Hi, my name is Humphrey! I love people, food, and sleeping in that order! I'm really good at lots of things, like being your shadow, keeping your feet warm, playing with my toys, sitting for treats, and making you laugh. I'm a low-key older fella with great manners, as you can tell by the tuxedo I always wear. I'm usually pretty mellow, but I like to welcome you home at the door by wagging my little tail in a circle, if I get off the couch in time. I love taking walks, but being around other dogs when I'm on a leash makes me feel too confined. I would prefer to have a fenced-in backyard that I could patrol by myself, but we can take great walks if you're patient and flexible with me! I like to chase squirrels and bunnies so my forever home definitely can't have cats, which is okay with me. I love my toys and I will play with them by myself, but if you want to join me, that would be swell! I'm really good at catching balls or treats out of the air. I love car rides and sometimes I don't want to get out of the car when it stops. My foster mom says I am the best 'road tripper' she's ever known - we've gone up into the mountains twice and she says I keep my balance really well as we go around all the curves! My foster mom tells me I snore sometimes and have fun dreams where I chase all the cats and bark at all the squirrels and no one tells me no. I make her laugh a lot and sometimes I don't know why, but I'm always proud of myself for it! I'm hoping you'll think I'm funny and handsome and a good travel buddy, just like she does!
