Hi my name is Leah. I am a really good girl. I was so special, I got to be a mom! I used to be really depressed because when Animal Control picked me up, I didn't get my babies. I have no idea what happened to them. Then I got even more scared because I could smell the bad room at jail. Everyone talks about what happens in there - how so many dogs and cats go in and none come back out. We all tried to show off every time people walked by so that they would pick up and we wouldn't end up in the bad room. Then all of a sudden, they came to get me and no people had walked by looking for dogs and I was so scared it was my time in the bad room. BUT instead they took me back out front and said I had a rescue. I have no idea what that means.... so I went to another place and they took all my lady parts so I can't be a mom anymore. That really upset me but they say that's what you have to do in rescue to have a FUREVER family and that's what I want most of all. I am waiting in boarding now for that forever family but no one has come yet. I am so good, just ask this crazy boarding guy how good I am! He says I am one of the best behaved dogs here! I hope you find me soon. I can't wait to meet you! ~ Love Leah Leah has been rescued after ending up at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter after giving birth to some puppies. Sadly, mama Leah showed up alone at the shelter with no known where-abouts of her pups. Thanks to cross-posters, generous pledgers and with an assist from the Texas Sled Dog Rescue mama Leah has been rescued!! Leah has already been fully vetted by LSAR and it wouldn't hurt for her to have a foster family... she'll need someone liberal with the treats :) Adoption Applications can be emailed to LoneStarAkitaRescue@aol.com Print the app from this link: https://goo.gl/3MYgDk Or ask to have one emailed to you. Each dog is fully vetted prior to placement. At a minimum, this includes heartworm check, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and microchip. Any other medically necessary services are also performed.
