About Jazzy

Adoption Fee: $25
Pit Bull / Lab
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

My husband Randy and I just adopted a young female pitbull named Jazzy. I met Jazzy the first day she was was dropped at the shelter. This baby was so scared she could not walk. She cowered and growled when people came near. For whatever reason, this dog has really touched me. I loved her from the beginning and kept going back to her. She finally stopped growling and started barking when I came near. This was a huge improvement because she was wagging her tail and the bark was a 'friendly' one. By this time Jazzy was loving on Weyman and Sandra who work at the shelter. When another volunteer got in the pen with Jazzy and got all that love? I lost it. I cried happy tears and had hope for her for the first time. A few days later, I was encouraged me to get in Jazzy's pen. Even though I didn't want to scare her (or get bitten!), I did it. That was the best doggy loving I've ever had. Through no fault of hers, Jazzy has had a rough life. Her original owners kept her tied up, pulled her teeth, and didn't have her spayed. Judging by her lack of trust, I suspect they did little more than feed her and used her as a puppy factory. Well, Miss Jazzy is a puppy factory no more! After filing for adoption, we took her to the vet to be spayed, get treated for worms, and get a rabies shot. Why? Because unlike many, I try to be a responsible pet parent. Even for the dogs like Jazzy who will never live at my house. We already have 3 dogs and 2 cats. We are bursting. But believe this, if I could figure out how to make it work, I would have her here right now. Jazzy is about a year old and she is fabulous. She deserves a fabulous home. If you have room in your heart and home AND you can convince me that you will throw tennis balls for my girl and love her as much as I do, I will be happy to bring her to you. She is fine with other dogs in her size range. I don't know about small dogs or cats. However, even after all she's been through the fact that this baby is still able to love and trust people just proves, once again, that dogs are 100% better than humans. We are deluded for thinking we are most evolved species.
