About Arnie

MEET ARNIE. (NO CATS, SMALL DOGS, YOUNG CHILDREN) This handsome dude is approximately 6 yrs old (Feb 2012) American Pit Bull Terrier that came to the rescue via the Weatherford, TX Animal Shelter in Sept 2013. He was extremely emaciated to the point of needing help standing and had buckshot wounds in his hind end. A couple of months with some good food and loving care and Arnie had improved greatly. Arnie is a smart boy that loves attention and would be great in a home with a family that understands the breed and is willing to devote the time to him that he needs. He is a happy and very loving boy. He loves to play and will amuse himself with a ball or a toy. He is a blast to watch. Arnie would be best placed in a home with no small children or younger teenagers due to the fact that he has shown some food aggression. Also his large size and abundance of energy would make him a better fit for a family without younger children. Arnie gets along with other dogs upon proper introduction. Though he is not aggressive his energy level can be a bit much for smaller dogs and would do well with a dog of like size and temperament. ABSOLUTELY NO CATS OR SMALL DOGS. Arnie is neutered, microchipped, UTD on shots, HW - and current on HW/Flea/tick preventatives.
