**** Emotional Therapy Dog Candidate *** PHIL is a handsome, happy, super sweet, loving, playful 3 yr old cinnamon red retriever/pittie mix, who was rescued from a high kill shelter. Phil can be slightly fearful & slow to warm with new people (especially men), but comes around wonderfully and is soon a lap dog, wanting to please, kiss and snuggle. Phil is a tender-hearted love bug who likes other dogs, and is very submissive. Phil likes to play with his toys, especially his chew toys, but his favorite activity is to snuggle, give love & affection. Phil is neutered, fully vaccinated, de-wormed and on monthly heart-worm preventative. His best buddy is LILLY (fawn-brindle female pittie -see other posting) and it would be wonderful if they could be adopted together, but will consider adopting separately to the right 'forever' home. All of our rescued dogs have been on a nutritional regime which includes high quality food and supplements (ex., probiotics; vitamins, etc). This is done to bolster their immune systems and overall health; the result benefits their adoptive family with a pooch who has a lustrous coat, bright shiny eyes, and happy and healthy disposition.
